How Cool

The Gossip Girl spinoff may be a little East meets West, CW style.

Schwartz and co-creator Stephanie Savage are "toying with the idea" of having young Lily (to be played by American Dreams girl Brittany Snow) interact with teen versions of The OC's Kirsten Nichol and Jimmy Cooper, EW reports.

Does that mean Serena van der Woodsen and Marisa Cooper (Mischa Barton's old character) may have had (bitchy little) play dates with each other at some point?

Loser

Lily Collins is coming to 90210.

The daughter of music (not so much) legend (pfft) Phil Collins will guest star on the May 12 and May 19 episodes of the series. She'll portray Phoebe, a rival student of Annie's at West Beverly.

In real life, Collins is a broadcast journalism student at USC (school for brats) and sometimes acts as a red carpet correspondent for Nickelodeon (like that's even respectable).

I wonder how she got that job? Lucky bitch.

Abercrombie and Fitch Spring/Summer 2009

Well it looks as though ANF is trying to go back to its roots a little more this season, they've reintoroduced the rugby top and (thankfully) toned it down on the logo slapping, check some now garments below. I especially like the boating tee's (Dickerson Notch), they're classic and a little different from the usual ANF.

Flo Rida - Sugar Ft. Wynter

Make Poker Face number 1!

Our girl the GaGa is killing it these days, she already smashed the ball with Just Dance, the Hot 100 number 1, and now she has a good chance to do it again with single number 2 Poker Face, its blowing up on radio (number 5 and rising on CHR pop) and number 2 on iTunes, so all it needs is about a 50 000 download boost next week and it should hit the top, so get downloading people! Papapa poker face, papapapa poke her face! (Sick mind huh?)

Mothers Day

So mothers day is tomorrow, what are you doing special for it?

I'm making Nigella Lawsons Mexican Scrambled Eggs served with some freshly squeezed OJ, and Jamie Olivers Tuna Ceviche for lunch, recipes below!

MEXICAN SCRAMBLED EGGS

INGREDIENTS
2 x 15ml tablespoons vegetable oil
2 soft corn tortillas
1 tomato, deseeded and roughly chopped
1 spring onion, roughly chopped
1 small green chilli, deseeded and chopped
4 eggs, beaten
1/4 teaspoon of Maldon salt or pinch of table salt
Serving Size : Serves 2

METHOD

1.Heat the vegetable oil in a heavy-based frying pan. Roll up the corn tortillas in a sausage shape and then snip them into strips with a pair of scissors straight into the hot oil.

2.Fry the tortilla strips for a few minutes until crisp and golden, and then remove to a bowl.

3.Add the chopped tomato and spring onion to the hot oily pan along with the chopped chilli, turning everything about for a minute or so with a wooden spoon.

4.Put the corn tortilla strips back in the pan, and add the beaten eggs and salt. Using the same spoon, move everything about the pan as you do when scrambling eggs.

TUNA CEVICHE

citrus seared tuna with crispy noodles, herbs and chilli

INGREDIENTS

2 pink grapefruits
1 tablespoon fish sauce
500g/1lb 2oz piece of blue bigeye or very good yellowfin tuna
1 tablespoon sesame oil
6 tablespoons olive oil, plus extra for frying
2 or 3 fresh red chillies, very finely sliced
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 large bunch of fresh coriander
1 small bunch of fresh mint
a couple of good handfuls of glass or cellophane noodles
4 spring onions, finely sliced at an angle

METHOD

1.Squeeze the grapefruit juice and pour into a sandwich bag with the fish sauce. Add the piece of tuna. Tie up the bag, squeezing out most of the air so the tuna is completely covered in the juice. Leave for 40 minutes, after which time the outside of the tuna will be pale and ‘cooked’. Now carefully pour the grapefruit juice from the bag into a bowl, dry off the tuna and put to one side.

2. For the dressing, mix the sesame oil, olive oil and chillies into the grapefruit juice. Use as much chilli as you like, and season to taste. Tear off a good handful of coriander and mint from the bunches and put to one side to use for garnish later. Finely chop the remaining herbs and really pat these around the tuna to encrust it. Wrap in clingfilm and place in the fridge until needed.

3. Boil the noodles for 1 minute until they are slightly flexible, drain and allow to steam dry and cool. Add a little olive oil to a hot non-stick pan, add your noodles and leave them until they are nice and crisp on one side. Now flip them over and do the same on the other side – it doesn't matter if some stick to the pan, just scrape them up and turn them over. Divide the crispy noodles between 4 plates. Slice your tuna up about 0.5cm/¼ inch thick – in Japan it's a sign of generosity to have nice thick slices of tuna, but I like them a little thinner as they are more delicate in the mouth.

New GaGa

One of our favorite artists has new material, and it ain't bad! Apart from this Wale dude blabbing all over the track. It definetely has a M.I.A "paper planes" feel to it, with lots of stopping and starting, chanting, and compaining about the state of society etc.

Turkish Airlines Business Class

We recently had the intense pleasure of flying Turkish Airlines Business Class from Beirut to Istanbul and were pretty shocked at what was deemed as breakfast, check out this hot mess... Seriously, cheese, cold cuts and random chunks somewhat resembling a Greek Salad? Can't see this bad boy making it through these tough times.

Sorority Row (2009)

Oooh exciting, our favourite movie "I Know What You Did Last Summer" is essentially being re-made in this remake of the 80's horror flick Sorority Row, so yes it's a re-make of a re-make near enough (Does hollywood do anything else these days apart from super hero movies?)

It stars one of the world best actresses Audrina Patrige (I'm not even joking, she acts out those Hills scripts to perfection) and comes out in October. Fandango your tickets guys!

Blackberry Skittles

I've noticed a lot of replacement BlackBerry housings appearing on eBay in a variety of different colors, this yellow one stood out to me, I'ma go for it I think! Very summery and absolutely unique!

Pixie - I Wish I Was There

Another amazing song from a no doubt superstar in 6 months time, Pixie Lott. Produced by the best producer out there right now, no exageration, RedOne. Google him bitches... there is a reason why so many songs about have "Prod. by RedOne" tags attached to them.

Britney Freaking Spears

I've been watching some YouTube videos of Britney's tour and it is getting me sooo excited to go! Just need to get those darn plane tickets booked and we're rolling! I'ts kinda funny, through out the past 3 months I have already visited all the stops of Britney's european tour, the grand total of 2 cities! Anyways check the shots I took on my BlackBerry of the O2 arena and of the Paris Bercy.

As I type this I remember Britney has a date in Manchester, England, gosh darnit I'll have to go there too now!

WooHoo

So I just set everything up to allow me to blog from everywhere via my BlackBerry Curve! How awesome!

WELCOME

Welcome to my awesome new blog! Never had a blog before but I'm hoping to keep this updated as often as I can, I have a BlackBerry (which FYI, I've had for years) so it shouldn't be too hard! Keep this in your favorites to keep up on the trends in food, fashion, music, tech, clubs, tv, movies, life in general, etc. Don't expect me to be to into it, over trendiness is vile IMHO. But yeah, welcome!
